'Hi Fam! Feels so good to be back! Taking a break to complete my finals was exactly what I needed. I am in my 7th (out of 8) Semester and for my Incubator class, we were tasked to create a collection comprising of three looks. For my final presentation I decided to make a short film, shot in a greenhouse in CT. Concept: Despite this season of unrest, loss and pain, I experienced many moments that lead to ‘Liberation’ Peace of Mind, despite everything going on around me As a black woman in America The symbol “fawohodie” which means Freedom, has become my favorite Adinkra symbol because it symbolizes hope and possibilities of exactly that. This collection is aimed at making women feel bold and aware of who they are. Looking in the mirror and seeing a reflection of peace, and joy within! --- This project made my heart very happy and I want to share that with you! I hope you enjoy it.
